KYC is identity verification. Polymarket requires KYC at large fiat offramps via MoonPay/Onramper; Kalshi requires KYC at signup.
Plain-English explanation
For Polymarket, KYC triggers at the onramp/offramp layer (MoonPay asks for ID when you withdraw to fiat). For Kalshi, KYC happens at signup — you provide name, DOB, address, SSN last four. KYC is required for regulated CFTC exchanges; Polymarket doesn't require it upfront but effectively requires it for fiat exits.
